Ellie Learns E Story

Ellie the Elephant, oh so sweet,
Wanted to learn, a letter to meet.
A letter so easy, a letter so bright,
A letter that starts with an ‘E,’ pure and light.

She asked her mama, “What is ‘E’?”
Her mama smiled, “It’s easy, you see!”
She showed Ellie an egg, round and white,
“It starts with ‘E,’ a wonderful sight!”

Ellie giggled, “An egg, that’s fun!”
She wanted to learn, ‘til the day was done.
Her mama said, “Let’s go to the zoo,
We’ll find many things that start with ‘E’ too!”

At the zoo, they saw an eagle, so grand,
Soaring high up, over the land.
“Look, Ellie,” her mama said, “An eagle, see?
It starts with ‘E,’ as plain as can be!”

They saw an eel, slithering, long and thin,
Hiding beneath the water, so dark and dim.
“An eel!” Ellie exclaimed, “What a sight!
It starts with ‘E,’ and it’s quite a fright!”

They saw an emu, tall and proud,
Strolling along, in a feathered cloud.
“An emu!” Ellie cried, “So big and strong!
It starts with ‘E,’ and it belongs!”

They saw an elephant, big and gray,
Swinging its trunk, in a playful way.
“An elephant!” Ellie laughed, “Just like me!
We both start with ‘E,’ happy and free!”

As the day ended, and the sun went down,
Ellie was tired, but wore a happy frown.
She’d learned so much, about the letter ‘E,’
And she couldn’t wait, to learn more, you see!

She dreamed of eggs, eagles, eels, and emus,
And elephants, too, big and numerous.
She woke up the next day, feeling bright,
Ready to learn, with all her might.

Her mama smiled, “You’ve learned a lot, it’s true,
But there’s more to learn, something new.
Let’s go to the market, a fun-filled place,
To find more words, that start with ‘E,’ a lovely grace.”

At the market, they saw ears of corn, golden and sweet,
And eggplant, purple, a delicious treat.
They saw envelopes, empty and white,
Waiting to be filled, with all their might.

They saw earrings, sparkly and bright,
And erasers, pink and white.
They saw exotic fruits, from faraway lands,
And elegant dresses, in stylish hands.

Ellie was amazed, at all she’d seen,
Words starting with ‘E,’ a colorful scene.
She thanked her mama, for teaching her well,
And promised to learn, every letter’s spell.

As they walked home, hand-in-hand,
Ellie sang a song, throughout the land.
A song about ‘E,’ a letter so fine,
A letter that made her heart shine.
