Alex the ant, so small and sweet,
Saw a rice grain, a yummy treat.
He tried to lift, with all his might,
But it was heavy, what a fright!

One friend came, Ben was his name,
Two little ants, still the same,
Three tried hard, with all their glee,
Four little helpers, you see.

4 ants can not pick the rice up

Five ants pushed, six ants pulled,
Seven and eight, brave and bold,
Nine tiny friends, working with care,
Ten little ants, a wonderful pair.

10 ants pick rice grains up
10 ants pick rice grains up

With ten strong ants, it was such fun,
They lifted the grain, the race was won!
Back to the hill, they carried it with pride,
Ten little ants, side by side!

Let’s count them all, one, two, three, four, five, Six, seven, eight, nine, ten alive!
